New Community began in the summer of 2012. After 10 years away from Buckhannon, Pastor Justin, his wife Carrie, and their daughters began hosting launch team gatherings on their back porch. The vision was to be a church finding and following Jesus beyond Sundays. Over the past 11 years, New Community has gathered in homes, local schools, a VFW Bingo Hall, a former restaurant, and two other churches. In 2023, we purchased the Old Lorentz United Methodist Church Building and began to meet on May 28, 2023.
